We are Trafford Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation bringing together NHS community health services and adult social care services in Trafford. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Trafford by working across organisational boundaries.

Our community healthcare teams in adults and children's services are employed by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and deployed to us, linking closely with our colleagues in Manchester Local Care Organisation. Our teams work as one and together we will make a massive difference to the health of people in Trafford.

Trafford Local Care Organisationl, are looking to recruit and sponsor dynamic, motivated nurses or midwives to undertake the 12-month Specialist Community Public Health: Health Visiting Qualification. Sponsorship will be on a Band 5 up to mid-point.

Studies will be undertaken at Manchester Metropolitan University for 50% of the course and the remaining 50% in Health Visiting practice. You will be employed on a fixed-term contract for the duration of the course.

You will complete an individualised learning programme which will be documented in their Personal Portfolio of Learning. The Universities award will be BSc (Hons) or a Post Graduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing. The professional qualification will be registered on the NMC Professional Register. The pathway incorporates preparation for prescribing from the Nurse Prescribers Formulary for Community Practitioners (V100).

Successful applicants must have 120 credits at Level 5 to access the course.

The course commences on Monday 18th January 2021
