Job Title: Customer Service Practitioner Apprentice
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: GHNHSFT Apprentice Terms and Conditions
£10,132 per hour £5.18 per hour (Fixed Term for 15 months)
Department/Area: Gloucestershire Procurement Shared Service
Accountable to: Band 5 – eProcurement and Purchasing Team Leader Specialist
Location: Victoria Warehouse, The Docks, Gloucester
An excellent opportunity has arisen for two well organised and committed individuals to be a customer service practitioner apprentice within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The apprentices will complete a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship with Adult Education Gloucestershire whilst gaining valuable customer service, administration and purchasing experience in the Procurement Department providing services to local healthcare organisations.
This apprenticeship vacancy would be suitable for a school leaver or someone who would like a change in career who has an interest in customer service in the specialist area of procurement, purchasing of goods and services.
The apprentices will be managed by a Band 5 – eProcurement and Purchasing Team Leader and be supported to carry out activities including:
The ordering of Goods, Services and Works
Processing enquiries received from Customers and Suppliers
Obtaining prices and quotations
Processing of orders compliant with the Trusts’ Standing Financial Instructions, Procurement Policy and current legislation
Supporting low value tender exercises
The apprentices will be expected to be professional, treat everyone with kindness and respect, and have the confidence to communicate with staff at all levels within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, other Trusts and external suppliers / customers.
The maximum working week is 37.5 hours per week; this includes a daily unpaid break of 30 minutes.
The young person will have a break every 4.5 hours worked; there is no weekend working.
