Care Assistant - Days - COVID-19 in Aylesbury

Job description

It is really important that our team feel safe when coming to work. Day Care Assistant – Aylesbury, Bucks

Hampden Hall Care Centre is a 120-bed care home with a lively atmosphere and a friendly team. We support elderly residents with a variety of care and nursing needs each and every day and we need people like you to join our friendly team.

You don’t need to have previous experience in care, nor do you need relevant qualifications – above all, we want someone who shares the same values as us and can:

Location:Hampden Hall Care Centre, Tamarisk Way, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP22 5ZB

Salary:From £9.00 to £11.20 per hour (depending on experience) plus a 50p per hour night and weekend enhancement!

Hours:Full time (39 hours per week), permanent

Shifts:8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday, including every other weekend

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Work in a team and build relationships with your fellow team members
  • Support our residents with their daily activities whether this be assisting a resident to wash and dress in the morning, developing their individual care plan, or helping them choose and eat their favourite meal
  • Be a friend who our residents can rely on to champion their dignity, independence and support them to live happy and healthy lives
  • Think on your feet, communicate effectively, take on responsibility, prioritise your work load and keep accurate records

ABOUT YOU:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a team and take initiative
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
