An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Medicine at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. We are looking for a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse who is dedicated to improving patient care through effective leadership and management and education within Assessment Suite. Our Assessment Suite provides emergency care to patients who require further assessment prior to being discharged or admitted into the hospital for longer stays. We see predominantly medical patients with a wide variety of different presentations.

We are looking for a forward thinking, passionate, proactive and innovative person who will be committed to leading by example, encouraging and empowering the team to ensure consistently high standards of care are met and a service of excellence to our patients and their families and carers is delivered. You will need to be credible and visibly present, to ensure high standards of care continue, and a safe, effective, responsive, outstanding and compassionate service is delivered.

As Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and development of the service. You will be supporting the nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care.

The post holder will be expected to work a range of shifts including weekends, nights and bank holidays.
