Working alongside the Occupational Therapist, you will support people with neurological conditions, autism and/or mental health needs to engage in their care plans. 

Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence-based group and individual programmes. You will create individual rapports with service users to empower recovery. 

Role – Graduate Occupational Therapist 

Location – Warrington, Cheshire WA2 8DB

Salary – £26,000 + Benefits

Hours – 37.5, Full-Time

Your responsibilities

  • To provide comprehensive OT assessments.
  • Under the supervision, plan and review OT treatment programmes.
  • Under the supervision, identify and action referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
  • Support the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital.
  • To ensure that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • State Registration (HPC).
  • Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills

Join the team at St Mary’s providing specialised services for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Deaf Mental Health problems, with a layout that enables you to deliver care within a low stimulus, spacious environment. 

You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure those in care are supported to make decisions and access the community. Skills are taught and support given to promote recovery and develop confidence in order for them to live a more independent life.
