Band 6 - Community Psychiatric Nurse
Adult Mental Health Services, Street Triage

Our service portfolio includes mental health, intellectual disability and specialist mental health services, community physical health, prison health and our low, medium and high secure hospitals including Rampton Hospital. The Trust is also involved in a number of collaborations in research and innovation with the Institute of Mental Health, the University of Nottingham and other partners.
The practitioner will have responsibility to undertake safe and effective triage assessments of individuals who come into contact with the Police service, and who may be suspected of suffering mental health difficulties. Onward referral and signposting to appropriate services is identified by individual need and requires a broad knowledge of the help available from primary care, secondary mental health care, third sector organisations and online and telephone support.
The role will require the professional to participate in the delivery of effective clinical services within the Street Triage service in line with specified national and local standards. The practitioner will primarily be working collaboratively and effectively in partnership with Nottinghamshire Police. Your work will also require you to liaise and collaborate with other emergency services, all of our Trusts healthcare teams , the local general hospitals, GPs, social care teams, third sector organisations, families, carers and any other organisation or person who is identified as essential to the ongoing care and pathway for a patient.
Current hours of work are :
Weekday Shifts: 8am-5pm
Evening Shifts: 4pm- 1am
Weekend Day Shifts 8am-4:30pm
