Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (Band 7 based in the Infection Prevention and Control Team – Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Basingstoke/Winchester (cross site cover on a rotational basis)
Role Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an expert specialist service that positively impacts on the experience of patients, visitors and carers by providing high standards of clinical practice and care as appropriate across the Trust in regards to infection prevention and control.
What we look for:
We are looking for two enthusiastic nurses with a passion for infection control to join our expanding team. You will already be a specialist practitioner in infection control and have gained or be working towards Masters level. You will act as an Infection Prevention and Control advisor and role model to your colleagues across the Trust by the provision of expert clinical advice, promotion of consistent and sustained improvements in standards of practice and care in infection prevention and control to improve the patient experience.

The Infection Prevention and Control Team is made up of clinical specialists in infection control, sepsis, vascular access and surveillance. We are a very supportive team and work across all sites delivering a high standard of care and support to patients and staff.
We aim to meet the Trust’s needs in line with the latest department of health guidelines and any other national guidelines or alerts which requires working across sites and with clinical and non-clinical staff.
