The IT Infrastructure Delivery Department is offering a 24 month Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship. The IT Service Desk is a small team providing first line support for IMT services to a number of Healthcare organisations across Devon. The successful applicant will work at all times under the supervision of a qualified/experiences member of staff and provide first line support to clients on all matters relating to IT provision. Examples of the daily responsibilities include:

  • Eliciting information from clients in a succinct manner.

  • Recording any work requests accurately in our bespoke Service Desk application.

  • Fixing certain issue reported by clients during their initial contact.

  • Creating and managing Active Directory objects.

  • Liaising with both internal and third party support teams.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is punctual and reliable.

  • Is a good team player.

  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Has a positive “can do” attitude.

  • Has a strong desire to provide first line IT support.

The successful applicant will undertake an 18-24 month Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship. You will work towards the following modules:

  • Networking and Architecture

  • Mobile and Operating Systems

  • Cloud Services

  • Coding and Logic

  • Business Processes

  • Functional skills in IT, English and maths (if required)

Successful completion of the Apprenticeship will provide you with the required skill set to apply for future internal and external vacancies.
