Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist - COVID-19 in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, Maidstone

Two, Full time, fixed term, one year posts (Part-time applications considered)

An opportunity has arisen for two motivated, enthusiastic and highly skilled nurses to join the dynamic and progressive Palliative Care Team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The posts are for a fixed term of one year. The successful candidates will join an established team that provides specialist advise, support and education for patients, carers and other health professionals to improve the quality of life for patients with a life limiting illness or those at the end of their life during their hospital admission. A key aspect of the role will be to assist in service development.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent assessment and communication skills and who has the ability to work both autonomously and as part of an inter-disciplinary team. These posts provide an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive and committed team. The post holder will be expected to work trust wide

You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: nicola.henthorn@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.
