With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.
We are delighted to offer this vacancy to join our swabbing service as a Health Care Assistant. As part of the pre-assessment team the service will provide swabbing for patients who are to undergo a procedure or operation within the Trust. It will also continue to offer testing facility to symptomatic staff, index cases of staff i.e. spouses and children of our staff.
A swabbing service model will be delivered across two locations at both the North Tees and Hartlepool sites providing:
Experience or demonstrable knowledge of working in a healthcare setting is essential. Duties include performing swabs and providing an excellent service and experience to our patients.
There is the expectation you will keep your mandatory training up to date.
The post holder will be expected to work across the sites of North Tees and Hartlepool.
