Introduction
No two days will be the same as you join as a Regional CAMHS Complaints Officer for three of our specialist services, including Brighton & Hove Clinic, Potters Bar Clinic and Rhodes Wood Hospital where you will innovate, improve and deliver an excellent experience to some of the most vulnerable people in society. 
 
All three services are a specialist CAMHS service, and empowers recovering to children and young people with eating disorders in a warm and nurturing environment.
 
Working alongside the PALS Officer, you will provide responsible, flexible and integrated complaints support and services to assist with
service users needs/concerns and will liaise with their family and the multidisciplinary team.
 
As a Complaints Officer, you will act as a main point of contact for service users and their families, providing advice and information to support their needs. Whether it is face-to-face, emails, letters or telephone calls, you will be responsible for listening to concerns and managing a caseload of enquires and complaints.
 
Working between 9:00 - 17:00, this will see you travel between Potters Bar, Hatfield and Brighton to visit all three sites. 
 

Your responsibilities
  • Resolving concerns and complaints quickly and informally where possible and being able to deescalate potentially challenging situations.  
  • Liaising with identified staff across the region to provide a seamless service to service users, relatives and carers in the resolution of concerns, and checking progress of any investigation and providing assistance if necessary.
  • Scheduling and attending Resolution Meetings (RM’s) to support Elysium Healthcare staff or service users in resolving their complaint.
  • Facilitating meetings and discussions with service users, relatives and carers for the purpose of solving concerns. 
 
To be successful in this role, you'll need
  • Educated to GCSE level Grade C or above, or equivalent, demonstrating literacy and numeracy
  • Experience in a busy, customer focused role NVQ Level 3 in office administration or equivalent in experience
  • Ability to identify when escalation to the senior management team is required e.g. approaching agreed timeline for complaint response
