As a Senior Services Developer, you can expect to work on brand-new developments rather than legacy systems. You’ll develop and design complex service solutions and carry out technology road-mapping, while offering technical leadership and mentoring across the development team. In particular, you’ll help define and evolve the agile software development lifecycle and tooling.

You’ll see your innovations rolled out across our diverse portfolio of 400+ stores and 460 vet practices, specialist referral hospitals and distribution centres around the UK. Having worked as a senior member of a software development team, you have a track-record of successful enterprise-level software implementations. This will include a deep understanding of service-oriented design and software development, including knowledge of software, process and project lifecycles, and agile working practices.

Experience of Golang development is essential, along with micro-services architectures and their design and deployment alongside CI/CD and TDD development practices. A customer-oriented approach is important and you’ll have strong organisational, communication and team-working skills.
