Based in our Store Support Centre in Ruddington, Nottingham, we're looking for a talented individual to work as a Management Accountant. You’re role will include the management and co-ordination of the preparation of monthly management accounts, reporting on variances as required and provide commercial insight. You will prepare and analyse balance sheet accounts and reconciliations, with a view to ensuring integrity of reporting and identification of any commercial risks or opportunities to improve the balance sheet position, with particular emphasis on Net Working Capital.
Key responsibilities include:
•Reviewing the integrity of the Assistant Management Accountants work in preparing monthly management accounts for all areas of responsibility, highlighting areas of concern for the business
•Completion of monthly analysis of all balance sheets.
•Ensuring the integrity of all balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, and providing a full analysis of all unexpected balances.
•Identifying areas for potential improvements in the balance sheet position and working with relevant finance manager in the business controlling team to ensure the optimum balance sheet position is understood and achieved.
•Assisting the Business Controlling team in the completion of the annual budget for all allocated areas of responsibility.
•Ensuring that all reporting is compliant with all relevant accounting standards.
•Liaising with auditors on areas of responsibility and provide prompt and accurate responses to all queries.
•Where applicable, manage and develop the role of the AMA, conducting regular reviews, driving excellent performance and professional development within the role

•Continuous improvement of content and presentation of analysis and routine reports to ensure the quality of the information prepared and presented.
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
•To be either qualified or qualified by experience with at least 3 years in a similar role
•A demonstrable knowledge of relevant financial accounting reporting rules
•Be competent in using Excel and SAP
•An aptitude for attention to detail and adherence to deadlines is essential
•Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
•Strong communication, influencing and persuasion skills
•Strong Excel skills
Ideally you'll:
•Have working knowledge of SAP
The role does require some travel so a full driving licence is essential.
