We have a new opportunity for a Deputy Endoscopy Lead staff nurse to join The Circle Endoscopy team. Circle Health is a company that runs hospitals and health services in the UK. We were founded in 2004, and we are different to most healthcare organisations we build independent hospitals which pioneered five-star hospitality in the UK, and we’re the only organisation running some innovative types of work in the NHS, like our Bedfordshire musculoskeletal contract.Role and ResponsibilitiesTo lead specific areas of the Endoscopy team, ensuring a high standard of clinical care is given at all times in the outpatient setting.To support the administration team with patient concerns and questions. To deputise for the Lead Nurse. To support the Endoscopy Lead Nurse in developing action plans following audits, standard operating procedures, competency packages and training of staff and patients.Ensure high quality, evidence-based care is offered to the patients and, with the Endoscopy Lead Nurse, identify the common issues which affect the quality of care, devising clear action plans to address any shortcomings ensuring agreed action is undertaken.Improve and maintain standards of essential nursing care by working with the Lead Nurse and using the tools such as clinical bench marking. Along with the Endoscopy Lead Nurse, support the department team in completing appropriate risk assessments, and develop action plans accordingly in order to provide a safe environment for the delivery of high quality patient care.During regular clinical sessions, act as a role model and a teacher , working alongside other staff including visiting all patients in the ward in the absence of the Endoscopy Lead Nurse.Involvement in a programme for performance management that ensures all staff within the clinical area assessed annually which includes ensuring all staff have a Personal Development Plan.Encourage a culture of learning where students receive quality clinical placements supported by mentorship, teaching and support from registered nurses.Be a major contributor in maintaining an environment conductive to learning and development.Ensure that all trained staff remain professional at all times in line with the NMC code of conduct.Participating in a communication strategy which enables effective, two-way communication between the clinical are, directorate, and the division.Person SpecificationRN/RGNRelevant experience i.e. evidence of recent practice in Endoscopy or Theatre/Recovery/Ward areasDemonstrable record of Continuing Professional DevelopmentAbility to teach/coach peers, junior staff & traineesGood communication & team building skillsExcellent standard of patient/client careAble to cope with change/adaptability/flexibility and a proactive approachDemonstrates organisational /leadership abilitiesRelate well to all staff.Diligence/Enthusiasm & positivismConfidentBenefitsFree ParkingTravel to Work Bus, and Cycle schemesChildcare Vouchers27 Days Annual Leave with additional days after qualifying periodPension SchemeHealth and Well Being programme which includes free fruit, massages and fitness sessionsEmployee Assistance ProgrammePerkboxIncome Protection Cover (after a qualifying period)Discounted food from the Atrium CaféPrivate Medical Insurance (after qualifying period)Non-contributory Life Assurance
