Graduate Planning Officer£15.39 ph * *London*An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Planning Officer join a Local Authority in London.6 months contract We are seeking a recently qualified Planner to assist the Planning Policy section of the planning department with progressing all aspects of the local plan, neighbourhood plans and other policy matters. The main purpose of the role is as following:Examine and evaluate all types of planning applications made under the Town and Country Planning Acts and related legislationAssess whether proposals are in accordance with Council's policies and liaises with officers of other directorates on matters arising from planningAssist with carrying out project briefs and feasibility studies in relation to regeneration and/or economic strategy work and liaising with Planning staff as requiredDeal with enquiries from: the public, developers, potential developers, other authorities, Council Members and relevant clients on planning, regeneration and economic development issues and proposals involving: policy interpretation, planning law, technical criteria or of a research, policy, plan, development control, design or environment natureRequirements:A degree in planning or other appropriate professional qualification and a member of the RTPI or eligible for or working toward full membershipKnowledge of all relevant planning legislation, policies and proceduresClients are looking to interview and shortlist shortly, so please submit your CV promptly for consideration.Please apply with submission of your CV and Giulia Mauro from our London CPE office will be in Touch.
