Trainee Asbestos Supervisor - OxfordshireA fantastic opportunity has become available for a Trainee Asbestos Supervisor to join an award-winning Environmental Services Contractor based in Oxford. HSE licensed with over 20 years trading experience, our client has built an excellent market reputation and are specialists in delivering a wide range of asbestos surveying, abatement and demolition services to a large client base across the UK. Due to continued growth, our client is offering a brilliant opportunity to partake in a 24-month training programme which will see you gain the necessary certifications, skills, and experience to become a competent Asbestos Removal Operative before progressing into a Supervisor role.Previous experience working as an Asbestos Operative is highly desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. It is essential that all applicants are based in Oxfordshire and hold a full UK driving license.Asbestos Operative duties: Removal and disposing of all types of asbestos which can be found in areas that include floor tiles loft insulation, AIB panelling, external soffits, roof sheetsUsing techniques such as encapsulation to safely seal damaged asbestosUsing a variety of specialist equipment including airless sprayers and injection equipmentWearing specialist protective equipment including coveralls and a full PPEAsbestos Supervisor duties:Supervise the work of operatives on all types of asbestos removal worksEnsure H&S regulations are adhered to for the sale removal of asbestosMonitor and inspect quality of work to ensure projects are completed to the highest standardProduce and manage site documentationWhat are we looking for? The ideal applicant will have previous experience working on construction/demolition or asbestos removal site and will be a natural leader who always strives for excellence. Due to the nature of the job, you must be physically fit and be willing to be clean shaven at all times.
