We are excited to be hiring for a newly created position, Communications & Media Relations Manager with sustainability accountability, supporting the UK and Ireland cluster (British Isles). This role will be based in London and reports to the HR Director of Pandora, British Isles. This role also forms part of the Global Communications & Sustainability organisation, collaborating closely with colleagues in several markets with a seat on our global communications forum and an active role in global projects such as Pandora’s Global Media Relations Programme.
THE ROLE
Broad responsibility across Internal and External Communications, Media Relations and Sustainability for the British Isles Cluster combined with specialist responsibilities in Pandora’s global communications and sustainability projects and activities.
Main Role Objectives:
Support employee engagement through impactful internal communication
Position Pandora as an attractive employer
Place Pandora in key news, business and trade media and at impactful speaking podiums
Engage stakeholders to drive our sustainability agenda
Lead local issues management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
British Isles Cluster Focus:
Plan, craft and publish communication content about Pandora British Isles on our internal channels
Expand the reach and impact of our global channels throughout our British Isles cluster organisation
Advice and support our British Isles management team in employee engagement/change management
Drive employer branding campaigns in our British Isles cluster
Global focus:
Take part in developing global messages and concepts for internal communications and employer branding
As a member of Pandora’s Global Media Relations Programme, build relations to international and regional business media, industry opinions leaders and social media, and secure relevant speaking opportunities
Contribute in global sustainability projects with e.g. trend analyses and engagement with authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders
THE CANDIDATE
Degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, business economics or social studies
Extensive professional experience within a global organisation leading corporate communications and sustainability
Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent relationship-building and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Ability to craft high-level corporate messages for external and internal use, and orchestrating presenting opportunities
Good understanding of the wider industry and sustainability agenda, and how this impacts the business and brand
Knowledge of working in a global matrix organisation and ability to contribute to global projects
A confident problem-solver and organised multitasker able to manage multiple projects successfully
