We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Violence Support Worker who is motivated and strives in delivering an excellent service at projects in Leicester. In this role you will be responsible for: * Supporting individuals who have been affected by domestic violence * Providing high levels of care * Promote and encourage independence * Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of individuals * Being a key worker * Building supportive and trusting relationships with customers * Working proactively with other members of the team to manage caseload and administrative responsibilitiesWhat we are looking for * Experience of working in a similar role is essential * You will need strong experience and good knowledge of working with victims of domestic violence and the support needs that come with it * You will be empathetic, well organised, good communication skills and a good team player * You will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team and support your colleagues * Knowledge of working with behavioural and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours * Knowledge of safeguarding * Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently * Variety of contracts available including Permanent and Temporary positions * Has a practical and logical mind and is naturally well organised * Is motivated towards excellence and improvement of personal performance * Ability to cope positively with challenging and diverse behaviour * Is able to implement strong professional boundaries
