Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer in Cambridge

4 - 40 hours per week

Job description

We are looking for an ambitious Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a highly creative, technical engineering company. You will contribute to solutions on a wide variety of challenging projects, from the initial concept and analytical stages through to prototype delivery and manufacturing introduction. You will be working at the leading edge of a broad range of areas including medical devices, clean technology, consumer and industrial products. To be successful, you will have strong creativity with a good understanding of engineering principles and practice. You will be able to contribute to multi-disciplinary teams working in a wide range of technical disciplines. You must be self-motivated, comfortable with presenting your work and ideas to clients and be very adaptable. You will ideally have: 1st or 2:1 from a leading university in Mechanical Engineering. Strong creativity coupled with an analytical and enquiring mind Excellent communication skills Duties: * Lead and or contribute to those aspects of projects which cover the analytical, creative and development aspects of mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, control engineering, structures and design for manufacture * Assist with sales activities in growing our business by contributing to proposals and attending sales meetings
