We are currently looking for a friendly and approachable Secondary Teacher who can engage in multiple disciplines, with a strong passion in working with vulnerable students. The position will be based within the Middlesbrough area working with the council and local authorities providing alternative education to vulnerable and looked after children on a 1:1 basis online . The role would be suitable for those looking for a flexible working time rota, but also holds full time positions Monday to Friday in certain bases and provisions. The students face daily challenges in managing and controlling their emotions for many different reasons and come under the SEND and vulnerable category, so it's very important for us to find the right fit for the role. Although the role is based online and remote, there may be occasions where you are expected to Tutor in person, so we require that you reside within the Teesside area.Key Qualifications and qualities required:• Recognised QTS or QTLS within a specific Secondary subject, preferably a core curriculum subject• An ability to plan, deliver and assess across KS3 to KS4.• A higher education degree or other relevant experience.• An empathetic and understand person who can deliver with a personal approach• A genuine interest to help those in need with a nurturing approach that comes naturally • Being able to remain focused and calm, be reactive to obstacles that may occur with the ability to recognise triggers and diffuse the situation before escalationIf this role sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact me for more details
