We are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Service Technician/Fitter on a permanent basis to operate within the Regional service facilities, based in Trafford Park, Manchester.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting daily repair and service activities in terms of John Crane Product range refurbishment in line with company procedures, policies and standards. Furthermore, you will participate in improvement activities within the service facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Service order creation on business system on receipt of returned items for repair
* Strip, inspect, report, clean and operation code bill of materials for returned item
* Goods receipt of inbound items from supply base, system update of items received
* Build, test and pack John Crane repaired product prior to return to customer
* Dispatch routines for outbound service deliveries

The Individual
* You have time served apprenticeship ideally in a maintenance area, and good secondary and further education qualifications
* Knowledge / experience of rotating or static equipment and the maintenance of these items: experience of mechanical seals is strongly preferred
* On site capable / prepared to develop the required skills/experience
* You could be successful in this position if you possess the following experiences: bench fitting; tool-room techniques and standards; flat lapping both by hand and machines; measurement systems both manual and digital; Milling, facing & Boring on horizontal borer, etc.
