Introduction
As an Occupational Therapist, join the multidisciplinary team at Pinhoe View in Exeter where you will help people develop new skills and build a brighter future.

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the occupational therapy team at Pinhoe View, a new purpose-built facility, where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions. 

The service is due to open in March 2021, you will be working at Wellesley Hospital in Wellington as an interim. 

Enjoy working alongside the Occupational Therapy team, where you will be supported by the Lead Occupational Therapist, as you manage a designated caseload across two inpatient wards.

You will be responsible for completing occupationally-focused assessments, planning and facilitating group sessions, implementing 1-1 interventions, and evaluating outcomes that are needs-led, evidence-based and aligned to service user’s care plans. 

As an Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to the development and quality improvement initiatives at Pinhoe View, including reducing restrictive practices to support service users on their recovery programme.

This role involves:
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid mental health recovery.
To be successful in this role:
  • Current HCPC registration and ideally have BAOT membership with evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Knowledge and use of a range of OT assessments and outcome measures.
  • Ideally with experience of working within a similar setting or having had a clinical placement in a mental health setting.
