Junior Backend Developer, Kendal, Cumbria
Salary negotiable in the region of £18k to £22k
Due to continued growth and success, MacArthur's client is looking for a Junior Backend Developer with Open-source experience. Your time, education, training or working in an Open-source web development will ideally have seen you using tools such as Laravel, Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP,. However, demonstrating similar experience and an aptitude to learn these will be a good alternative.
You will be developing private and public web-based systems in an Open-source environment for external customers.
This role would suit a graduate, someone looking for their second role or who has knowledge or experience through other training, or an Apprentice scheme could be open for the right person.
Overview of the role of Junior Backend Developer include :
* Developing and supporting systems in an Open-source environment for external customers
* On the job skills development and learning
* Great pipeline of projects for a number of years
* Working and communicating with customers and the internal team and management
* Working remotely, at home, (during COVID) in a small team environment
* Self-sufficient, to a degree, depending on experience
Ideal skills, qualifications and experience for the role of Junior Backend Developer :
* Open-source development frameworks
* PHP
* MySQL
* Apache
* Linux
* JavaScript
* Laravel
* Sketchfab Viewer API
* Either Degree (or similar) in Computer Science / Maths / Physics / etc ideally or; open to Apprenticeship scheme
