We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (Controls /Automation Engineer) for a market leading business within the Automation Industry who provide support across a range of manufacturing clients within the Aerospace and Automotive sectors to help improve productivity. This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Automation maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with CNC Machine tools, Beckhoff / Siemens PLCS and FANUC/Kuka/ ABB Robotics would be highly advantageous.
This is a Days based role Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730 + No Call Out
All travel time is paid door to door + all addtional hours paid at premium rates.
The role will cover sitesmainly in the NW but also some across the UK so a willingness to travel is required.
This role would ideally suit a candidate with a maintenance background looking to develop and progress within the controls/ automation industry.
Role Description
* Provide support to client sites across the UK and Ireland.
* Support Customer's automation systems to aid in improving productivity.
* To support the introduction of new projects on time and within budget constraints
* Fault finding and rectification of PLC's - Beckhoff/ Siemens
* Experience working with Robotics - ABB, Fanuc, Kuka or similar.
* PLC software and hardware editing,operating and diagnostics
* Strong knowledge of IT - Windows Server
* Automation of existing plant & equipment, support equipment improvements and new equipment specification.
* Provide support in installation of new capital equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a high precision manufacturing environment
* Candidates must be Time Served in a suitable discipline
* Strong working knowledge of PLC's ( Beckhoff / Siemens advantageous)
* Good working knowledge of Robotics ( ABB/ Fanuc/ Kuka Advantageous)
* Strong customer service mind set
* Working knowledge of Windows Server
* Willing to travel as required to sites in the UK and Ireland.
