A wonderful and leading chain of a family run Day Nursery and Pre School in West Wickham is looking for a passionate Room Leader(Toddler Room).
The individual must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children. You will be joining their dynamic team at the Ofsted Rated 'Outstanding' nursery.
You will have minimum Level 3 CACHE /NVQ or equivalent /above qualification in Childcare.
Full Time : 7.50am to 6.10pm / 40hours per week (Rotational weekly shifts)
Location - West Wickham , BR4 area.
Salary Offered - Upto £21k depending on experience.
Experience : Toddler Room experience preferred. .
Duties of the Room Leader includes:
* Oversee the smooth running of the nursery.
* Lead the room staff team to deliver high quality practice
* Ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care and development for children placed in the Nursery.
* Ensure child profiles in your room are up to date and relevant.
* To work alongside the parents/carers of special needs children to achieve full integration within the Nursery.
* Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
* Support co-ordinators such as SENCO, Equal Opportunities in their roles.
* Attend training and development courses as directed by your Manager or Assessor.
* Being an excellent role model to the other staff in the Room.
* Provide a high standard of health and hygiene
* Act as a key person for a group of children as allocated by the management team, ensuring attachment theories are respected
* It is every member of staff responsibility to ensure professionalism and confidentiality are adhered to at all times
* Oversee the professionalism of all staff/ students
* Participate in room and staff meetings
Experience , Qualification & Skills Required:
* Childcare qualified to Level 3 or above
* Toddler Room experience preferred
* Fluency in written and spoken English and an ability to write accurate observations
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS.
