Locum Consultant - Respiratory Medicine
Are you a dynamic, motivated doctor looking for a new Locum Consultant opportunity specialising in Respiratory and General Medicine? If so then you're in luck! Our client is looking for someone to join their expanding respiratory department with amazingly supportive colleagues.
The Trust's current 4 hour wait performance is one of the best in the local STP. The readmission rates are below their peer group and the trust mortality rates are well below expected.
The department consists of 9 consultants, 4 lung cancer nurses , 2 TB nurses and 2 respiratory physiologists and a multi-disciplinary team of respiratory nurses, physiotherapists and support workers providing integrated respiratory services to local residents.
The hospital is supported by trainees from the KSS deanery with 3 SPR's, 4 core trainees, 6 foundation doctors and an excellent admin team. This position was created due to the increasing demand for specialist respiratory services in the region. The department is expanding both their EBUS and Home NIV services.
The Trust are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in difficult asthma, interstitial lung disease or Bronchiectasis. Other interests that compliment those of the existing consultants are also welcome.
This location is regularly top of the UK list for those that enjoy the most hours of sunshine, it is referred to as 'The Sunshine Coast'. The area is surrounded by oustanding natural beauty and a rich array of accomodation options.
Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice.
Additional Information
The Trust has a weekly cross site lung cancer MDM with a thoracic surgeon dialining in and presence on sire of all the other lung MDM core members. A radiotherapy unit has recently opened at one of the sites.
