Senior Human Factors Consultant
£50,000 - £70,000 + Flexible Working, 25 days hols, Pension, Bonus, Bupa, Professional Memberships, Life Insurance, share purchasing etc.

This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Human Factors Consultant with a broad technical knowledge of Human Factors including experience of reviewing and verifying work of others. This position also offers the chance to provide technical leadership within projects to other members of the Human Factors team.

The role requires a solid understanding of Human Factors Engineering within multi-disciplinary projects and experience of planning and delivering Human Factors activities as part of a bigger programme.

Requirements:

A degree level education in Human Factors or a related subject
Proven work experience in a consultancy environment.
Experience of integrating Human Factors within other engineering related services is expected.

An excellent understanding of risk assessment, safety assurance, safety cases and safety management concepts
Ability to develop Human Factors analyses
Experience of conducting human error assessments.
Ability to develop HF strategies for delivering complex projects, from both a technical / commercial perspective.
Ability to manage and give direction to others as to how to complete well-defined tasks and monitor their performance within a project.
Ability to identify and support business development opportunities.
Experience of creating and maintaining positive working relationships with multiple clients.
Provide technical leadership within projects to less experienced members of the team.
A degree level education in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or a related subject.
Member of the CIEHF (or equivalent experience).
Understanding of the UX approach to design, development and evaluation.Desirable:

Experience of the UK nuclear power industry.
Chartered status (or working towards it)
Experience of implementing Human Factors strategies across a range of safety critical domains.
