Even though the schools are currently non-operational to the full extent, we are still interested in speaking to you about working with us. Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic graduates and post-grad students who are completing their or about to start their Masters degree in any subject to work as learning support assistants in our schools in Bristol once they re-open. The roles will be both part and full-time on a supply basis in schools and will involve working with children and young adults with additional needs. These roles will enable you to earn additional income while you are studying and ultimately gaining more experience in school settings.

The schools we work with cater for pupils in Primary and Secondary ages and they require large number of temporary staff from us with a varied academic backgrounds to work as Learning support assistants. The role will involve working with their pupils to enable their learning and emotional support in and outside the classroom. To be considered for these temporary roles the ability to engage and build rapport using academic knowledge and empathy are essential. If you currently study a Masters degree or have experience in Psychology, Mental health, Neuro Science, Sports, Education, Maths and Science and can use your understanding of these subject to benefit child psychology, emotional development and various psychological and special educational needs in school settings as a LSA, please contact us as we foresee a huge demand again from our schools for these skills once they re-open . You will be able to dictate when and how often you would like to work and choose the type of schools or ages you would like to work with.

In these Learning support roles, your primary areas of responsibility will be to:

Support and enable learning with the instructions given by the teacher

Encourage the development of positive attitudes to learning through well-planned support, and other activities

Have a creative and innovative approach to understand and supporting to re-engage disaffected learners in education and overcome barriers to learning.

Support the teachers for class and activity preparation

Monitor students learning, social, emotional and behavioural progress against targets and report to the teachers of any positive and negative changes.

To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:


*Hold an Honours degree or equivalent qualification and/or about to start a post-graduate degree.

*Have Special Educational Needs (SEN) knowledge or interest.

*A strong desire to have an impact on the lives of vulnerable young people
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
