CK Technical are recruiting for a Junior Product Engineer to join a product development company in the life science sector at their site based in Stokesley in North Yorkshire. The role is an initial 6 month contract extending to a full time position.The Company:Our client forms the instrumentation division of a multinational company specialising in DNA testing on a global scale.
Salary:Up to £25,000 per annum.
Junior Product Engineer Role:Your main duties will be to:
Provide first-line electronics support for the in-house production team. Liaise with new and existing suppliers on component availability, specification and pricing. Specify, source and install equipment. Follow procedures and processes to an ISO 9001 standard and ensure continuous improvement. Your Background:The ideal candidate will have a background in Electronic Engineering, with a suitable qualification and/or relevant experience.
Essential skills include:
The ability to read and draw schematic diagrams. Fault-finding skills, to component level. The ability to identify and cure root causes of problems. Excellent soldering skills. Desirable skills include:
A background in product design and manufacturing. Familiarity with basic embedded programming in C. Experience with electronic CAD software such as Altium or similar. It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
