Yorkshire, with nationwide travel
£75,000 to £85,000 plus benefits

Role Profile

Cast UK are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Business Development Director for a market leading global manufacturing business with multiple sites across the UK.

This is a newly created role with a focus on developing new business opportunities to enable our client to achieve their long-term business growth objectives.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation as you will be instrumental in driving business growth and expansion into new markets.

The position will suit an established professional with a proven record of growing sales revenue in a technical manufacturing or engineering environment.

Key responsibilities as Business Development Director will include:

Identifying strategic target markets and customers and developing appropriate business development strategy
Building a strong sales pipeline, nurturing and closing new business opportunities
Providing leadership for the UK Sales Function, mentoring and coaching the team to ensure KPIs and sales targets are met and exceeded
Proposing commercial models that will maximise revenue and meet customer requirements

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Proven success operating at Business Development Director level within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Significant B2B sales experience, selling manufactured products in addition to associated technical services and solutions
Strong technical knowledge, ideally with a background or formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Honed presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Proven leadership skills
