Tradewind are looking to appoint a KS1 teacher who will be responsible for a Year 2 class in a two-form entry school. This is a full time role commencing January 2021 and will run until the end of the academic year. Experience teaching in KS1 is essential and supporting pupils through Year 2 SATS (highly desirable). The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the curriculum, and use age related expectations to pitch and plan accordingly allowing all pupils to unlock their learning potential. About the Role

The successful candidate will carry out professional duties for a Year 2 class of approximately 30 pupils. This is a two-form entry school which will require you working alongside the other Year 2 teacher to share planning, resources, advice, and ensure best practice. You'll also benefit from a full time TA in the class.

You responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

-Attaining the highest expectations of teaching and learning
-Plan engaging lessons that align with National Curriculum Standards and inspire and motivate pupils to want to learn
-Implement a range of approaches that support visual, audio and kinaesthetic learning preferences
-Analyse data effectively to assess when and what to revisit in order to address misconceptions, bridge learning gaps and achieve rapid progress
-Use ICT to enhance learning opportunities
-Be an effective team player who is open to new ideas as well as lead in your own area of expertise sharing advice, resources and best practice
-Plan interventions across literacy and numeracy and collaborate with the SENDCO to report on pupil progress in relation to targets set.
-Contribute to wider school events in the local community.

Essential Requirements
Hold QTS certification or an equivalent
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
