We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Specification Consultant (Part-Time) to join our Technical team at Weber, based in Flitwick. You will assist our technical consultants with the delivery of market leading technical specifications/advice & solutions for major projects to specifiers to gain a commercial advantage over our competitors using technical knowledge/expertise.

What you'll be doing as a Graduate Specification Consultant:

Proactively maintains own technical knowledge, is up to date with the latest technical information regarding building regulations, standards and best practice principles. Working with senior technical experts within Weber to increase their capabilities.
Provides technical guidance and shares knowledgewithweber colleagues to deliver our vision of being the industries technical experts.
Developers and owners of technical guidance documents/templates.
Assist Technical & Certification manager with development of technical support along with any other duties.
Assist support formation of technical literature and manage amends required.
Identify and deliver digital specification support tools
Provides accurate and market leading technical advice to support the use of Weber products/systems within the customer's time constraints
Provide proactive technical/design information (PIPS & Specifications) to specifiers, contractors and other clients to facilitate the development and proposal of appropriate Weber Technical solutions.
Provide full design service for major projects (size to defined)
Support customers to be compliance to legislation & industry standards
Manage specifications & details.
Increasing team effectiveness/efficiency by identifying opportunities for improvements in how things are done within the team and their implementation liaising with line manager.
Develop/support key relationships with architects & specifiers (via CPDs, and communication with customers with technical support) to increase customer satisfaction and identify specification opportunities for sales to capitalise upon.
Utilisation of our CRM system as a means of recording information and communication to the sales team.
Attend project tracking meetings (by whatever appropriate means).
Support innovation through identification and understanding potential gaps in product/system portfolio. Take ownership to ensure the proposed gaps have been fully assessed. What we're looking for in a Graduate Specification Consultant:

Able to use CAD
High attention to detail
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Degree level qualification or equivalent in construction or building design/physics related discipline
Understanding of how a building is constructed and familiarity with a building site environment, ability to calculate thermal performances, fixing analysis and preferable experience with CAD/BIM.
Knowledge of building regulations, particularly Part L(Thermal) and Part B (Fire) and industry standardsWho are Saint-Gobain?
