Joining on a Flexible working, Full-time or Part-time basis you will receive a competitive salary of £46,589 per annum (£50,585 Croydon). An IT allowance (non-pensionable) of £4,609 is also payable

Do you want to own and drive forward the approach to modelling and manage the technical models and content for the architecture practice to provide decision support to the practice and wider organisation?

If so, we are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Architect - Modelling Specialist to join our award-winning Digital, Data and Technology Directorate, which is the in-house IT division at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation with the ambition to provide our customers with cutting-edge digital services.

Our existing software systems form part of the critical national infrastructure, safeguarding land and property ownership valued at £7 trillion, enabling over £1 trillion worth of personal and commercial lending to be secured against property across England and Wales.

Responsibilities of our Senior Technical Architect - Modelling Specialist include:

As a Modelling Specialist you will manage the strategy and roadmap for architecture tooling and have an awareness of architecture and the architecture modelling tool market including direction, new features and upgrades. Acting as an advocate for architecture modelling across the organisation and an expert in our chosen architecture tool, you will take an active lead on training and development of architecture modelling and visualisation and provide support for users.

Within your role, you will establish modelling standards, style guides and best practices based on government or industry standards and be responsible for the architecture repository content, working with the architecture community and other heads of practice to create, maintain and keep content up to date and aligned to standards.

HM Land Registry are currently in the process of implementing an enterprise architecture modelling tool which the modelling specialist will be responsible for embedding in the organisation.

What we're looking for in our Senior Technical Architect - Modelling Specialist:

- Demonstrable knowledge of architecture tooling and of architectural modelling languages and techniques and creation of meta-models.

- Experience of using a modelling tool to model an organisation with disparate data sources and a complex technical landscape that has not been previously loaded into an architecture tool and of building, maintaining and managing relationships with modelling tool vendors.

- Ability to understand use cases for modelling data and creating rich visualisations from data and an understanding of architectural domains.

- Able to collaborate with stakeholders to interpret requirements and deliver value from the modelling content.

- Experience in modelling all architecture domains and in architecture governance and assurance processes.
