We are recruiting for a Wholesale Senior Account Manager to lead the development of a wholesale business customer to deliver sales, volume and profit and margins through joint business planning, negotiation and winning new business. Reporting to the Wholesale Trading Director the individual will manage the development of the operational processes, develop sales strategy and lead the delivery of this to achieve the targets for the customer. They will identify opportunities for growth, building external relationships and secure growth that is beneficial and profitable for the wider business. The role will also manage customer issues including service performance and sales and successfully grow and develop sales to the customer.

 
You'll be responsible for things like this in the role;
  • Working alongside the trading teams to provide the wholesale business customer with range, price and promotional recommendations based upon customer led insight.
  • Challenge Trading, Manufacturing, Supply and Logistics to develop new initiatives to increase sales, drive availability and performance
  • Ensure customer complaints are collected, reviewed and addressed as necessary
  • Identify structural needs for the wholesale team. Gain buy in from senior management to ensure Morrisons can deliver the joint plan.
  • Project manage the expansion of our Wholesale business. 
  • Build and maintain cross functional relationships, positively influencing the importance of our Wholesale business, ensuring all business decisions reflect the needs of our customers. 
  • Work with Trading to deliver successful promotional plan for customer
  • Develop and improve processes to increase efficiency.
  • Chair weekly supply/logistics meetings to address any supply concerns.
  • Build strong relationships cross functionally to enable robust team working structures
  • Lead your team in a  way that maintains customer relationships and continually identifies and secures opportunities for growth.
  • Maximise the commercial performance of the wholesale business customer.
About You

  • Proven track record of working at senior level within the retail industry
  • Sales experience with profit and loss accountability.
  • Strong track record of delivering joint business plans.
  • Strong Programme Management and Planning Skills.
  • Excellent management of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Successfully increasing sales.
  • Launching new business revenue streams.
  • Commercial and financial understanding.
  • Retail/convenience grocery market knowledge.
  • Proven track records of working cross functionally.
  • Proven track record of consistent delivery against set trading KPIs (sales, margin, and profit).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels with the ability to influence.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to use market data and turn it into commercial opportunities. 
  • Ability to define, implement and manage change.

Ways of working 

The wellbeing of our colleagues is really important to us and we want everyone to have a great home and work life balance. Because of this we've introduced a four day working week for all full time colleagues based at Hilmore House in Bradford.

You’ll be able to flex your working hours around the core hours of 10am-4pm, and can choose to do different hours each day as long as you’re covering these core hours. Each four day week will contain four average nine hour days.

We've also recognised the benefits of working across six days including Saturdays. To be more competitive and support our stores and sites more effectively, we now work over a six day operation, Monday to Saturday inclusive, and everyone in Hilmore House now works one Saturday in every four (or 13 a year), albeit Saturday will be a shorter working day of 6 hours.

Your non-working day will need to fit in with the business needs so more information about this and which day you'd take off will be discussed at your interview.
