Physiotherapy Assistant - Static - COVID-19 in Nottingham

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 3 Physiotherapy support worker to join our existing dynamic & friendly team. This is a permanent role working with the acute surgery and cardiology Physiotherapy team on the City Campus of Nottingham University Hospitals Trust.

You will work alongside the Physiotherapists to provide care to inpatients following Cardiac, Upper GI, Thoracic and Urology surgery as well as patients admitted with cardiological conditions. The successful applicant will be involved in assessment, progression and discharge planning of this patient group and will be expected to utilise rehabilitation and exercise programmes. You will be responsible for your own caseload, working both individually and alongside others members of the team. You will be expected to assist with administration required for running of the team, such as equipment ordering, and stock management.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has previous experience as a therapy or rehabilitation assistant in an NHS or care setting. You will need to have GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths and have achieved, or are working towards a NVQ level 3 qualification in a health-related subject.

You will be required to work flexibly across 7 days to meet the needs of Therapy Services. This will include participating in adult weekend working rosters where required.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal Records Check prior to an offer of employment being made.
