Job description

Job title - Plater / Fabricator (workshop based)
Location - Avonmouth, Bristol
Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Hours of work - 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (overtime available)

Outline key responsibilities:
*Work from detailed engineering drawings
*Fabricate jobs to a very high standard ready for the welders
*Work from detailed engineering drawings
*Adhere to weld procedures & relevant quality procedures
*Assist with quality records and documentation
*Maintain equipment and small tools for assembly / welding / calibration

Detailed QHSE responsibilities:
*Never undertake work without first ensuring that means will be in place to guarantee that the work can be done in a safe and compliant manner.
*Familiar with the contents of this Risk Assessment and Method Statements and Permit to Work
*Attend any HSE training, meetings, etc. as requested.
*Attend, participate in and periodically lead Toolbox Talks.
*Ensure that tools, equipment and materials brought into and used in the area are fully checked and are compliant with HSE requirements.
*Ensure that no work is carried out unless supported by the relevant specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits.
*Carry out periodic HSE inspections in the area.
*Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported

Qualifications
*Time served / apprenticeship trained (essential)
*CITB Operatives Test (desirable)
*CCNSG and Blue ACE Card (desirable)
*City & Guilds Medium Confined Space Level 2 (desirable)
*IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
*NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (desirable)
*MEWP Licence (desirable)

Technical skills
*Fundamental understanding EN ISO/ASME welding standards
*Experience in site installation & assembly
*Be time served / apprentice trained
*Experience in fabrication of Stainless-steel equipment
*Read and understand detailed CAD drawings
*Used to working in a production and engineering environment
*Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations
