Leader Education is currently working with a large Multi Academy Trust in the Wakefield area who are looking to recruit a Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to work at one of their specialist provisions.
This is a KS3/KS4 provision that caters for students with a number of special educational needs and disabilities including but not limited to SEMH, ASD, DYX, CMLN, and ADHD. The teaching style is adapted to each individuals learning needs to ensure the young people feel a true sense of achievement.
The role is full time and long term and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year. The school are hoping to recruit for an immediate start.
The school are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for working with young people. The successful candidate must have:
* The ability to maintain a positive approach when faced with behaviours that challenge
* Successful experience supporting young people with a range of learning needs such as ASD, MLD, PMLD, VI, HI, SpLD, ODD, AS, SEMH, and PD.
* A current Team Teach qualification (essential)
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* A non-judgmental approach
* The ability to motivate, inspire, and encourage learners to strive for excellence in all areas
