Contributing writer (Work From Home)

What are you going to do:

Black Girls Around The World (BGATW) is an online platform which aims to share stories of Black girls across the world and their experiences navigating through life in their respective countries and cultures.

We are currently expanding our team, and are looking for young Black women interested in contributing to the platform as a writer. 

Responsibilities:

•  Pitching feature and op-ed ideas as well as Black girls to interview on a weekly basis
•  Writing and publishing 1-2 articles per week
• Conducting interviews and sourcing women to interview
•  Staying up to date with relevant events, music releases, film premieres, awareness days etc which would be relevant to our audience

Time required: 1-2 articles per week, a 30min monthly catch up over Zoom

These roles are mainly aimed at people who are starting out in the creative industry or looking to gain experience. Over the course, I will assist in mentoring writers an interns, using my experience in the industry to assist in their development.
