Physics Lecturer

The Role
Contributing to the curriculum development within the department, you will also be actively involved in the recruitment, interviewing, selection and counselling of students. In this role you will liaise with several teams within the College to ensure an exceptional learner experience. To include preparation, classroom delivery and marking, and to deliver tutorial activity related to programmes of study.
The Person
The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with the ability to deliver Physics and Maths with a passion for delivering student success and driven to deliver continuous improvement in your specialist subjects. You will have a demonstrable track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and an up to date in depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. You will also have excellent English and Maths Skills ensuring the successful embedding of English and Maths within the curriculum. A demonstrable ability to use inspiring teaching methods, produce engaging teaching materials and maintain up-to-date schemes of work.
* Experience of Level 3 delivery of Physics and Maths.
* A relevant first degree or a professional qualification in Science.
* A stage 4 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE)
* A commitment to the ethos of team work.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Hours: 16 hours per week minimum
Tenure: Fixed Term until July 2021
Salary: £28,339, - £39,017 Pro Rata depending on hours
