Senior Project Manager - Project Delivery - Enabling Services in Cardiff

Senior Project Manager - Project Delivery - Enabling Services

4 - 40 hours per week

Job description

Your opportunity
The rapid rate of technological and digital advance is one of the biggest challenges for global business leaders today.
As a company known for pioneering innovative technology solutions for its clients, it should come as no surprise then that our own IT Services teams have a crucial role to play. If you relish the opportunity of working for a firm where cutting-edge is standard, then this may be the role for you.
We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss with us.

Your role
We are constantly striving to find innovative ways to apply new technologies and build new capabilities for our diverse organisation. Such a focus on innovation inevitably brings a high level of change with it. This role is all about delivering high-quality, IT enabled business change to our talented practitioners and colleagues.

Working collaboratively alongside experts in their fields, you’ll be involved with projects that will make an impact across our firm, fostering creativity for our clients and improving the productivity of your colleagues. We’ll also rely on you to manage your own projects independently.

The Senior PM leads and manages the project team, with delegated authority and responsibility from the project board to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Project managers have a key role interfacing between the ITS project and the business service lines. Project Managers are typically responsible for delivering between 1 and 3 projects concurrently.
You will be responsible for

• Managing the production of deliverables to time, cost and quality requirements.
• Managing the expectations and satisfaction of the project’s sponsor and stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining detailed integrated project, financial and resource plans.
• Managing the level of risk in the project and implementing effective risk management.
• Maintaining an awareness of interdependencies with other projects.
• Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
