My client is major manufacturing business based in Northumberland.

As a result of business demands, the company is looking to recruit a Graduate Warehouse and Logistics Co-Ordinator.

The role:

Manage the warehouse area and to ensure on time shipment of finished goods to the customer. Support the Manufacturing and Materials functions through management and planning of raw materials in and out of the warehouse.

Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the Warehouse and Shipping functions
  • Work in collaboration with customers and freight carriers for outgoing goods.
  • Produce shipping and export documentation for outgoing finished products.
  • Manage the flow and correct placement of parts in line with Quality and Production requirements.
  • Production plan realization by managing alert systems and the unloading, receipt and transportation of raw materials.
  • Follow supplier delivery performance and the service of logistics partners.
  • Review and manage inventory levels of all stock locations
  • Manage year end stock take and regular cycle counting activities.
  • Coordinate replenishment of production kanbans and batch jobs to achieve the production plan.
  • Support the ordering and transportation of raw materials.
  • Develop standardized work instructions for the warehouse and shipping functions
  • Ensure a safe working environment and excellent housekeeping standards, to 5 S level with responsibility for the Warehouse, Shipping and outside yard areas
  • Undertakes and co-ordinates, continuous improvement Materials specific projects.
  • Provides cover and support for other roles when necessary.

Education and Experience:

Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics or similar. Either CIPS registered, or has the desire to progress through the CIPS qualification route.
