Graduate Teaching Assistant - Central London- Immediate Start

We are currently working with a mainstream secondary school in Central London. They are currently looking to recruit 2 x teaching assistants. This will be within a very large SEN department which caters for key stage 3 and key stage 4 pupils who are on the SEN register.

This secondary school which has been granted academy status, the school is conveniently situated close to 2 tubes stops and bus routes. The school boasts state of art equipment and benefits from having a large separate SEN and EAL department, which really caters for all types of SEN and EAL needs so students are guaranteed high teaching standards. Statemented SEN students will generally be assigned to one teaching assistant who will also be able to offer mentoring.

The school is within walking distance to two tube stations and a choice of popular bus routes.

You will be expected to work with small groups and on a one to one basis, this could be within the SEN unit or sometimes within a mainstream class setting.

Key skills and experience needed:

Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
Strong behaviour management
One to one and small group work
Professional manor
Enthusiasm and friendly approach
