Job description

We are looking for talented senior website developer/programmer and general all round I.T. professional to join an expanding business in Cambridge.

As a Lead developer you will look to build and lead a team, work closely with UX, UI and Marketing to design client solutions and also be instrumental designing product and technology road maps for clients.

We are looking to hire a talented and enthusiastic web developer that works well in a team environment to take ownership of a growing work load. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have experienced building great web applications for both desktop and mobile.

We offer mainly Wordpress sites so an in-depth knowledge of this platform is essential.

Responsibilities:

* Meeting with clients to discuss website design and function

* Designing and building the website front-end

* Creating the website architecture

* Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration

* Generating WordPress themes and plugins

* Conducting website performance tests

* Troubleshooting content issues

* Conducting WordPress training with the client

* Monitoring the performance of the live website

Requirements:

* Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer

* Knowledge of PHP & MySQL

* Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5 and JavaScript Frameworks ie. React/Vue/jQuery/Angular

* Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN

* Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug

* Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics

* Ability to project manage

* Good communication skills
