Sea Freight Imports Coordinator
Our client is a well-established freight forwarder based in the Warrington area. They provide worldwide freight solutions for an international client base. They specialise in the handling of all types of consignments providing services by Air, Sea, Road and Rail freight.
We are now recruiting for a Sea Imports Coordinator to handle imports mainly from the Far East, South American and Non-E. U origins. Handling mainly a deep-sea service into the UK and cross trade into European Countries both FCL and LCL freight. Although if you have multi modal imports experience this would be a distinct advantage.
You will communicate with agents at origin to route cargo on the required service. Liasing with the UK Based customers for rerouting and confirming freight and details, you will then hand over confirmed cargo routings to team members for clearance and delivery.
In order to apply for this role, you will have ocean imports experience gained from a freight forwarder with the ability to prioritise time sensitive workload and demonstrate attention to detail essential. You will have the ability to deal with a large volume of new enquiries and on-going jobs on a day-to-day basis.
Strong customer service skills and ideally experience of cargo routings and experience of using Access database an advantage.
