Better Healthcare Services are working in partnership with one of the UK's leading Mental Health charities to provide Recovery Workers to those experiencing Homelessness, Mental Health issues and potential substance misuse.
With services across Norwich City Centre, individuals are offered round-the-clock practical and emotional support by an experienced team of Recovery Workers. Each person has their own self-catering accomodation provide and are encouraged to set their own personal recovery goals and to work towards achieving them, with help tailored to meet each individual's needs.
We have immediate work for Recovery Workers / Support Workers and can offer you part-time or full-time, flexible work, predominantly on waking nights. The successful applicant will be supporting those undergoing:
Mental Health Treatment
Homelessness
Addiction Treatment
Rehabilitation and Recovery Services
The Role
To support people in achieving their outcomes in a way that they choose.
Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
Ensuring that people who use the service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.
Provide specific interventions with service users as delegated by management and healthcare team and the following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include observation and engagement with service users, escorting them on leave and being involved in de-escalation situations.
Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with the other Recovery Workers and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
The Person
You will have a minimum six months experience in one of the following; mental health, addiction, rehab and recovery, children services or adult care services. Most importantly, you will be a caring, empathetic individual that strives to make a difference to the lives of others.
