Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Part-time Export Operations person for a well established Courier company. The company are based in the Colnbrook area.
The working hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 12:00 - 21:00 (3 full days)
Job Description:-
The Operations Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all exports is manifested and shipped via the correct routing.
Daily Duties:-
- Customs entries for exports - Docs/LV/HV/Temp Export
- Customs entries for imports - Docs/LV/HV/BRG
- Knowledge of Import & Exports
- Keying in and manifesting shipments to the correct agent, routing or flight
- Sending pre-alerts for outbound shipments and confirming inbound pre-alerts
- Post Flight management
- Liaise and delegate jobs to drivers, sub-contractors and suppliers out of hours
- Excellent understanding of internal & external software such as Lightening, CHIEF and Descartes
- The operations assistant will split their time between the office and warehouse. They will be responsible for checking the weights and dimensions of all exports and completing the declarations to customs.
