Salary scale: £20,408 - £21,611 Please note this salary will be pro-rata and based on a salary assessment and relevant experience
Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a TRAC Student Support Advisor to join our student services team in Deeside
Overview of Role
As a TRAC Advisor, you will be required to deal effectively with all students who are eligible for TRAC support, ensuring students receive an efficient and effective service. You will be required to attend Learner Application Referral Panel (LARP) meetings to discuss the eligibility of students, ensuring that relevant paperwork is completed and confidentiality is maintained. You will meet regularly with eligible students to support learning within the college. As well as providing support for students on welfare and safeguarding issues, you will be required to liaise with external organisations and attend meetings as required.
Requirements
Educated to at least a C or above in GCSE (or equivalent in English and Maths)
NVQ Level 2 Advice and Guidance
Knowledge of student support issues
Previous experience of providing advice and guidance within an organisation
At least one years experience working in a busy office environment
Knowledge of entitlements available through Government and charitable agencies
It would be a highly desirable if you have experience of dealing with student or young people's welfare issues
