Job description

About Academy

We’re making a high-impact career in technology more accessible than ever before, unleashing the potential of those who deserve to go further, faster. Introducing the launchpad for a fast-growth career in tech: a new graduate scheme that combines world class technology and leadership training with a career fast-track inside leading tech companies.

Technology Graduate Scheme

  1. A two-year graduate scheme including 16 weeks of full-time training and 21 months of full-time employment within a world-leading technology company
  2. Hybrid programme combining world-class technology training with leadership and performance coaching
  3. Advanced upskilling in full-stack software development - the foundations for elite technical performance and opening doors to an expansive range of roles in tech
  4. Get paid to train via a generous grant before receiving a competitive graduate salary
  5. Taught by industry experts working at the cutting edge of technology and leadership

Our Founding Cohorts

Academy’s founding cohorts will commence in January and May of 2021. Applications for Cohort #0 starting in January are now closed; we are now accepting applications for Cohort #1 starting in May 2021.

We’re looking for high-achieving, innovative and entrepreneurial graduates to join our founding cohorts and help us build the future of tech. As our first cohorts, you’ll be treated as our cofounders from the beginning. With insider access to our founding team, you’ll use your experiences, insights and learnings to form an essential part of our rapid feedback loop as we build, test and iterate.

Academy’s founding cohorts are an opportunity to realise your potential, take charge of your future, and forge your own path in the tech economy.

What we’re looking for

  1. You must have already graduated and have graduated within the last two years - all subjects (except computer science, computing, software engineering) are welcome to apply
  2. Evidence of high-performance and exceptional achievements in and outside of study
  3. Demonstrable entrepreneurialism with a clear interest in technology and innovation
  4. Strong desire for rapid growth and learning with clear experience collaborating effectively
  5. You must be willing to relocate within the UK; note we are also unavailable to provide VISA sponsorship at this time

You’re likely to be a good fit if you have done at least one of the following

  1. Attended introductory coding workshops or taught yourself some coding
  2. Experienced working in or around startups (perhaps you’ve even founded one!)
  3. Acted as a strong advocate for your community - you’re well-connected with your peers

*This isn’t a checklist and we are actively seeking applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

The future of tech is too important to be left to people who all think, look and act the same. Technology needs a new type of leader.

We believe that, by bringing some seriously talented people together, we can change the future of tech for the better. We encourage applications from all - including (but not limited to) those who are underrepresented in tech through gender, ethnicity or sexuality.

How to apply

Please apply by submitting your CV and emailing your answers to the below questions (max 150 words per question) to join@academy.tech

  1. Why do you think you'd be a good fit for the Founding Cohort of our programme?
  2. What is an exciting application of technology that you have seen in the last 6 months?
  3. What are your current biggest career priorities?
