Interim Director - Local Delivery - Adults
Seven Social Care are looking for an interim Director of Local Delivery for Adults in the North Quadrant covering Colchester and Tendering. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £650.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company).
The role:
With a relentless commitment to making a difference to the lives of adults, this determined and resilient leader will deliver high quality and safe frontline adult social care services across a geographical locality (Quadrant). This leader will influence complex system-wide cultural change across a dispersed team, to achieve a joined-up approach to operational services, creating a clear vison for the future social care workforce that demonstrates innovative best practice. The ability to lead the development and implementation of strategy in relation to key areas of practice will be essential. With increasing demand and a challenging financial environment, this leader will be pivotal in the locality, forming strong and influential relationships to deliver commercially viable, integrated services across Health and Social Care, which align to the overarching strategic vision for integration, led by the Director, Integration and Partnerships. With a deep understanding of the local need, demand and changing demography, the leader will work in collaboration with colleagues and partners to interpret this within service plans and within the commissioning intentions of the Director, Strategic Commissioning and Policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Working collaboratively across the council to support the delivery of best possible outcomes for service users on a financially sustainable basis.
Working collaboratively with both the Chief Executive and Leader of the council, other members, partners and the community to support the long term vision.
Accountable for creating and proactively leading change initiatives which support our longer term vision.
Anticipating and predicting the long term impact of national and international developments, within an area of expertise to inform the wider function and the council's strategy.
Responsible for the delivery of social care services for adults within a geographical area of the county (Quadrant), in accordance with the Care Act 2014, managing high levels of organisational risk relating to social work and making decisions in the most prominent and complex cases.
Responsible for the implementation of the Health and Social Care Integration agenda with local NHS Trusts and CCG's to enable the development of community health and community social services, including taking direct leadership for health services where appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring a systemic approach to deliver improved outcomes for adults, leading effective and robust relationships with internal and external partners to enable a collaborative approach to the social and economic needs of the community. Lead the development of strategy and the strategic implementation of specific countywide services (e.g. Adult Residential, Operational Support and Development, Placement, Social Care Direct).
Accountable for embedding Safeguarding procedures across services within a specified geographical area to ensure the protection of adults.
