The OrganisationOur client is a UK public research university based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The Audit team are currently looking to recruit two Internal Auditors to join their team, one full time and one part time.
The RoleReporting to the Head of Internal Audit and working with a small team of auditors. Responsible for a varied schedule of audits from financial to research projects to student journey. Working to the audit plan and producing report with recommendations. The role will involve working with a multi stakeholder group across the University.
The Person - End to end internal audit experience is absolutely essential.
- CIIA or CCAB qualified would be desirable.
- Independent and able to operate autonomously reporting back to Head of Internal Audit as and when necessary.
- Team player
- Planning and reporting and knowledge of professional standards. •
- Good report writing ability and strong communication skills. Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders from Vice Chancellor to operational staff.
- IT literate across office products and knowledge of large accounting packages such as SAP, Oracle etc. Audit working paper package experience would also be beneficial.
